Shoes!

SO....be it's been quite some time since I last blooged...the good thing? I've been KHAPTURING:D

In June....yes JUNE...LOL...I said it's been a minute:) In JUNE, I was alongside Keana as a second shooter. Though Keana puts zero pressure on me, shooting with my mentor isn't always easy. SO to calm myself a bit...I grabbed the brides shoes and had a mini session...LOL!

"I Do" Tuesday...

When I got the call requesting that I shoot a wedding on March 9th, I probably asked the BRIDE 3 times during our conversation..."March 9th...this is a Tuesday, right?"...LOL!! WHO GETS MARRIED ON A TUESDAY?!! Then again, who made the rule that states one must get married on a Friday or Saturday or Sunday?  I don't know. But after yesterday's affair, I would SO consider getting married during the week....like, really. With all that said.....

Yesterday I found myself in Long Beach KHAPTURING my first wedding of 2010! I asked my buddy and fellow photographer, Ms.KP to tag along. (Check out her BOMBNESS at  http://keanasphotography.typepad.com/my_weblog/). It was cold beyond reason...but this AWESOME couple warmed my heart with their sincere love for one another.

 

I had a great time with Toya and Sir Stacey! They were great sports as we dragged them all over The Reef...lol...well after the reception! You made this very easy:) Thanks Ms.KP for tagging along...it's always a pleasure.

Ken and Summer

So...yesterday I shot another wedding in Manhattan Beach....

This time I was all by myself. It wasn't as hectic as I imagined. The couple (Ken and Summer) were so cool....so layed back...just straight chill...lol!!! They made my job very fun and very easy.

So..... it's been a minute since I last hit up this here el blog-go... ... ... What has been going on since the last post, you may ask? This ....

 

Ye!! My first wedding as "the" photographer!! I had the honor of photographing the legendary Stevie Wonders son's nuptials this pass Friday. I was nervous and excited at the same time. And who did I have as the secondary shooter? My MENTOR, Keana of Keana's Photography!!! No pressure, right? LOL!!! I can sit here and say this was a breeze for me, and how I was SO ready for this day.... But my dear blog reader, that would so not be true. I can only PRAISE GOD that I got through it without jumping off the boat...lol!!!

Thanks to all my W.A.F.M fam for the prayers and support (pre and post event). And thank you, Ms.Keana,  for just knowing that the thang could be KHAPTURED... and KHAPTUREDwell (lol)!! You're the best.

My First: The Farthings

On June 28, 2008 .... YES 2008:) I accompanied Ms.Keana (yes....real name used in this one....lol) to a wedding. My FIRST wedding as a photographer...ha...ha..ha! People...let me tell ya...I was SICK!!! Before heading out to the wedding...heading to Ms.KP"s place,  my tire (on the car I'd been driving the whole day w/ no problem) decides to blow all the way out! It was way beyond flat! So with the fact that I would be assisting in my first wedding coupled with my tire issue, All I wanted to do was throw away my camera and drive my car into the ocean!! LOL!!!

Ms.KP had (I believe) had too much confidence in me. People, I HAD NOT ONE CLUE ON WHAT TO DO!! Well, I thought I got 0 shots on that first wedding ... Below are a few shots that actually made it in the brides album... ... ...
