So yesterday, for the first time in my adult life I went to Disneyland. It honestly felt like the first time because I was so young the first time that I can't remember anything about that trip. On the way out of the park I stopped at a candy store on Main Street. I was paying for my caramel apple when the clerk asked how I was enjoying the park. I told him how much I enjoyed it and shared the fact that it was my first visit as an adult. Immediately he assumed that I was an out-of-towner. Not true. Not only was I born and raised in California, but I've lived in Southern California...Los Angeles...ALL of my life. I've just never had any nagging desire to visit Disneyland.
It was pretty fun and I didn't spend as much money as I thought I would. My son had a great time as well. We got our faces painted which was, in my opinion, a necessary part of the whole part of the theme park experience. I loved the Nemo Sub (I'm sure that's not the official name) ride the most. I'd heard stories about that ride and it's 3 hour or more lines and I never thought I'd ever experience it for myself. The line was only an hour. LOL! I still can't believe we waited in line for an hour. It wasn't that bad though. Well, being there in the winter on a Sunday has it's benefits.
Pictures to come...
