I told myself that I wouldn't edit anymore shots from yesterday because I already have a full workload. I couldn't resist! I was responsible for shooting the guys yesterday.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of assisting Ms. Khedra, CEO of Khaptures with a wedding. Here's a teaser shot.
My Uncle Bruce also has a new bride. My plane landed at LAX around 10:55 a.m. Saturday morning. He picked me up from the airport. We had a few laughs before he dropped me off so that he could get himself prepared.

I think it's kind of funny that her new name is Kary Terry. It rhymes! I have an aunt named Mary Terry. LOL! I pray that God blesses your union like only He can. Congratulations you two!

This weekend my family got larger. My baby brother and my uncle got married. Friday morning I flew to Vegas for my brother LQ's wedding. Jumped on a plane Saturday morning for my uncle Bruce's wedding.

Here they are picking me up from the airport. I am determined to get used to flying. The Vegas airport was so different from LAX. I was TOTALLY confused. LOL! A guy at the airport laughed at me as soon as I approached him as I'm SURE I looked so much like a tourist. I needed him to tell me where "passenger pickup" was. "It's on the other side of the building." On the OTHER side of the building?? NO! Let me power walk with my purse that's stuffed into my duffel bag and this 50 pound camera (at least that's how heavy it felt) around my neck. Oh yeah, with my cell up to my ear as I give him the play-by-play on where I was because he was actually at "passenger pickup".

BELLS! These flower girls traded in their flowers for bells. Unless you count the petals in the bottom of their dresses. They rang the bells and they announced, "The brice is coming! The brice is coming!"

Who says that bride & groom pictures only happen on the day of the wedding ceremony? Guess what? There is NO rule that does. There's no/less stress. There is MUCH MORE time to work with. Time is SO on your side. How awesome is that?

This past Friday I had the pleasure of being second shooter to Ms. Khedra of Khaptures on a fancy yacht. MY protege! It was a proud moment. I've never shot the groom and his fellas getting ready, so I got to see things from another side. They guys were a riot! They kept me laughing. No one really cared what they looked liked before being "camera ready". Guys have it so easy! When it comes to cleaning up they don't have to worry about having eye brows plucked, waxed or threaded (and they ALL hurt). They don't have make up worries or serious hair worries. No corsets making it hard for them to breathe. Guys get fitted for a tux once because their weight isn't fluctuating. They get a hair cut, throw on that tux and those shoes and they're good to go.
Here's the groom. He wasn't so happy about me wanting to photograph him out on the balcony. He was a trooper and went through with it.
