After a long time of being scared, my son made a very big decision. This past Sunday my son was baptized. Now It could have been done years ago, but I wanted to make sure that he understood the significance of what he was doing. When he told me that he was ready I sat down with him and read to him what being baptized symbolizes. He was excited.
While I was getting him ready he told me that he was scared. I reassured him and told him there was nothing to be afraid of. I was so proud.

I baptized you in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...

It was short, sweet, to the point and oh so beautiful. I had to fight back the tears. When we got into the bathroom so that he could change he was jumping up and down. I just smiled. He said that he felt good. I smiled even bigger, I'm talking Cheshire Cat big! When they passed the communion plates (I don't know what the actual word for those dishes is) I looked aver at him and he had a grin that mirrored mine. He could finally share communion with us, which was something that he'd being dying to do. LOL!
This was a very important day in both of our lives. And naturally this type of commitment to God brings the enemy in full force, like waving a flag in front of a raging bull.
All of those prayer warriors reading this, please keep us in your prayers. Thank you in advance!
